What Drinks Are Good for Your Bladder?

Bladder issues
November is Bladder Health Month! We don’t often think about our bladders until something is wrong, but this month provides the opportunity to learn more about keeping the bladder healthy. Read on as our team at AFC Urgent Care Springfield offers some perspective on the topic.
What Are the Symptoms of Bladder Issues?
While many of us think about our health in terms of eating better foods and exercising more, it can also mean watching out for certain symptoms that could indicate a health problem, such as with the bladder. There are many symptoms associated with bladder problems, including the inability to hold urine, needing to urinate often, waking up at night to urinate and cloudy or bloody urine.
Beverages That Irritate the Bladder

  • Tea
  • Carbonated drinks
  • Alcohol
  • Acidic fruits and fruit juices

What Can I Drink to Soothe My Bladder?
While we mentioned above some beverages that irritate your bladder, there are also some things you can drink to try to help soothe your bladders, such as plain water, milk, and no-sugar-added cranberry juice. They’re also foods you can eat to soothe your bladder and keep it at its healthiest.
